16-year-old Charged: Mother’s Death in Harris County Apartment Complex

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Law enforcement officials have announced that a 16-year-old boy has been taken into custody and charged in connection with the death of his mother.

On Tuesday, the officials made the arrest of the 16-year-old without any kind of incident taking place. In response to a report of a deceased person, authorities stated that they were dispatched to the Lafayette Village Apartment Complex, which is situated in the 4800 block of East Sam Houston Parkway, on Sunday afternoon.

Following the arrival of the authorities, they met with members of the victim’s family who had not received any communication from Latoya Fisher for a number of days.

According to the authorities, when the members of the family brought themselves to the place, they forced their way into the house and discovered Fisher dead inside.

During the course of the investigation, the authorities stated that Fisher had clear indications of previous trauma. It was also first claimed that her automobile was missing; however, law enforcement eventually discovered that it had been abandoned.

An arrest was made, and the child was sent to the Harris County child Detention Facility for further processing.

According to the authorities, the only person of interest in this investigation is the 16-year-old.
