1969 Chevrolet Impala up for sale for under $3,000 – but you’ll want to look under the hood before you buy
A CLASSIC Chevrolet Impala can be yours for a very reasonable price – but will likely need plenty of work done to it.
The iconic vehicle has been off the road for at least a decade and requires a thorough restoration – but will only cost one passionate gearhead less than $3,000.
Currently up for sale on eBay, the 1969 Impala boasts several classic design elements such as quad headlights and a redesigned rear bumper – which are both considered very appealing to collectors and car enthusiasts.
While the condition of the car’s engine is unknown, it will surely need some fine tuning having been left idle for such a long time.
Perhaps best of all is the car’s mileage, which shows just 22,500 miles – although the actual mileage is uncertain.
The Impala is considered one of Chevrolet‘s most famous nameplates, and remains one of the better-selling American-made cars since its debut in 1958.

This 1969 iteration is considered particularly special for the famous model, having started the year with the redesign and ending it with Super Sport tweaks.
According to Auto Evolution, Chevrolet simply made the Impala more appealing to help it remain a best seller.
This example is a typical project car that will require major work in all the key areas, including the floors and the cabin.
In fact, the interior will need to be redone completely, while the exterior is not only suffering from rust but dents all across the bodywork – with some signs of previous repairs.
Currently up for sale on eBay, it appears the seller wants $2,900 for the vehicle – or a best offer.
The car and the seller is located in Friendship, Wisconsin.
Restoring a classic car can be challenging, and requires someone with a lot of time, money and patience.
Sourcing the right parts and tools can be expensive and time-consuming, while some parts might be irreplaceable – such as the chassis or body panels.
What’s more, drivers will require space, such as a large garage or worhshop, to work on their project car.
Fans of the Impala will no doubt see plenty at America’s largest expo of Chevrolet and GM vehicles – with more than 6,000 vehicles set to be displayed.
Fans can go along to ogle some gorgeous cars and get the chance to win some amazing prizes at the famous Dino’s Git Down.
Perhaps best of all, entrance is completely free for all and no sign-up or registration is required.
As the Dino’s website states: “Just show up and have a great time.”
Elsewhere, an abandoned 1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo can be bought for just $1,800 on eBay – despite being worth $27,000.

The two-door model was wildly popular when it was released – Chevrolet sold more than 400,000 Monte Carlos out of showrooms in 1977.
But while the price might seem like a steal, the car is suffering from an array of major issues.
