200 pounds of pot seized from unlicensed Detroit dispensary caught selling marijuana to minors

DETROIT (FOX 2)—After an unauthorized dispensary was found to be selling marijuana to children, police confiscated more than 200 pounds of marijuana from the establishment.

Detroit police claim that they were able to locate Puff Puff Pass on the 8000 block of E. 7 Mile after receiving a report regarding sales to minors. Officers allegedly discovered and seized over 201 pounds of marijuana and one pound of mushrooms during their search of the establishment on January 9.

Two firearms and $737 in cash were also taken by the police.

For running an unlicensed business and having more than 2.5 ounces of marijuana in their possession, two employees were arrested and given citations.

Adults in Michigan who are 21 years of age or older are permitted to carry up to 2.5 ounces of marijuana on them and up to 10 ounces in their homes. The illicit enterprise possessed over 3,200 ounces.
