3 Carjacking Suspects Arrested Following Police Shooting in District Heights; Probe Ongoing
DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Maryland – Thursday afternoon, a police officer in Prince George’s County shot a suspect inside a store in the Silver Hill Plaza Shopping Center.
At around 3 p.m., the man who was shot and another suspect got out of a car that had been robbed and went into the 5700 block of Silver Hill Road in District Heights.
Detectives reportedly followed the guys in masks and saw them behind the counter. One of them was reportedly carrying a gun.
The cops said they were there and the suspects ran out the back of the store and into the parking lot, according to the department.

Police say that a detective shot one of the guys in the lower body while they were in the parking lot. The first suspect was found and taken into police custody. The second suspect was taken to a nearby hospital.
Two guns were found in the parking lot, and a third suspect who was said to have stayed in the car that was rammed by an unmarked police car left the scene.
A police officer in D.C. told FOX 5 that the man was caught on Anacostia Road just before 3:30 p.m.
Police from the PGPD are still at the shooting scene.
No police officers were hurt.
