41-year-old Carl Finstad Apprehended After Fleeing Police and Crashing Into Apartment Complex

Carl Finstad, age 41, was taken into custody by the Euless Police Department on Saturday after he attempted to elude law enforcement agents and drove his vehicle into an apartment complex to escape capture.

An arrest warrant for Finstad was initially attempted to be served by law enforcement agents on Friday at his residence located on Donley Drive in Euless, according to the police. Nevertheless, on Saturday, a law enforcement officer pulled Finstad down for a traffic violation after discovering him behind the wheel in the 100 block of Ash Lane.

According to the police, Finstad immediately fled the scene in his vehicle; however, the officer did not follow him since he was driving at a fast rate of speed in a residential neighborhood.

According to the police, the officer was driving westbound on W Ash Lane when he noticed that the vehicle had crashed out of control and collided with a parked vehicle as well as the corner of an apartment building.

No one was hurt in the collision, according to the police. Nevertheless, three of the units were severely damaged, which resulted in the residents being transferred to a different location.

Witnesses reportedly witnessed Finstad depart the scene, leaping multiple fences in the process. This is according to the police information.

Officers reportedly established a perimeter and used a drone in order to locate the culprit, according to the police. After receiving assistance from the Bedford Police Department, Finstad was able to be located and apprehended without any more action being taken.

According to the police, Finstad is currently being held in custody for the warrant of assault strangulation with a previous conviction as well as two counts of dodging in a vehicle with previous convictions.
