Florida Woman Arrested After Violent Attack with Steak Knives and Bottle Opener

In a shocking incident in Flagler County, Florida, 34-year-old Daileen Keller was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and domestic battery after allegedly attacking a man with multiple steak knives and a bottle opener. The altercation reportedly began when Keller, after an argument at a bar where the victim expressed a desire to leave, later showed up at his home, escalating the situation into violence.

According to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Department, Keller attacked the man with three steak knives and a bottle opener. The confrontation reached a critical point when Keller threw a knife at her victim as he sought refuge behind a chair. Authorities reported that Keller managed to stab the man in the arm with the bottle opener. As the man tried to escape, Keller threw the remaining knives, injuring him in the ear and back. By the time deputies arrived, the man was found bleeding from his wounds. Keller is currently held in jail with a $12,500 bond.

In a separate case, Brendan Banfield from Virginia has been charged with aggravated murder related to the February 2023 deaths of his wife, Christine Banfield, and Joseph Ryan. Banfield faces additional charges of felony firearm use. The case has drawn attention due to its complex circumstances involving a supposed love triangle. Banfield was arrested during a search warrant execution at his home after the murder.

Fairfax Police Chief Kevin Davis reported that Banfield was apprehended while driving in Fairfax County. This arrest follows an earlier charge against the family’s au pair, Juliana Peres Magalhães, who was charged with second-degree murder in connection to Ryan’s death. Magalhães’s trial is scheduled to begin in November.

On the day of the murder, Magalhães reportedly made multiple 911 calls, with the final call resulting in police intervention. Upon arrival, officers found Ryan shot and Christine Banfield suffering from stab wounds. Despite efforts to save her, Christine later died. Magalhães claimed that Ryan had threatened Christine, leading to a violent confrontation where Banfield allegedly shot Ryan and Magalhães also fired at him. This case is ongoing, with Banfield currently held without bail at the Fairfax County Jail.
