A STAPLES rival is shuttering their doors in mid-December – with shoppers left in the dark.

The popular chain stationary store has more 1,400 stores across the US.

Office Depotin Chantilly Crossing shopping centre, Virgina will close its doors on December 14.

The center is just off Highway 50 just west of State Road 28 with theCostcoandTargetstores.

It’s not currently known who will replace the chain retailer, however the stores departure will leave a large 18,000 square foot space to fill.

Office Depot offers low prices on office furniture, supplies, electronics, print services and more.

A populardonut chain shut its doorsin Miami on November 15, after telling customers “it’s time to say goodbye”.

Mojo Donuts confirmed it was closing several stores, leaving fans devastated.

“After an incredible journey of serving up smiles, sweets, and that unmistakable Mojo, it s time to say goodbye,” the chain wrote in apost on InstagramMonday.

“We re beyond grateful for the love and support from each of you you ve made every donut, every smile, and every day at Mojo unforgettable.”

It added that it was “not gone just yet” and urged customers to “come by, savor your favorites, and grab a final taste of Mojo magic while it lasts”.

“Let s make these last days count, together! “

TheFloridastaple is set to close its three locations inMiami- Mojo’s Bird Road, Kendall andCoralGables.

These are “Miami locations only,” Mojo stressed in its statement, insisting its original Pembroke Pines store would still operate.

Jimmy Piedrahita, who partnered with Shawn Neifeld to bring Mojo Donuts to Miami, toldMiami Heraldthe decision was tough, but rising costs were at the heart of the issue.

It s heartbreaking, he said. The cost wasn t sustainable. Even the price of flour doubled.

Meanwhile,the decision to close a Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts outlethas sparked outrage among some loyal customers.

Chiefs have penciled in the closure of the store in Burlington, Iowa, for January, and discount sales will be held in the run-up to the shutdown, as reported byThe Hawk Eye.

The prices of items will be cut by between 70 and 90 percent, according to store manager Barbara Boyles.

She revealed that the prices of all items would be cut as part of the sales.

Boyles claimed she was blindsided by thenewsof the closure.

The most affected retailers have been clothing, consumer electronics, sporting goods, hobby, book, music, and home furnishing stores since the start of 2019.

UBS has predicted the total number of retail stores will drop by 45k from 958k to 913k.

Despite that, the report says that certain stores should thrive while others decline.

It said retailers such as Walmart, Costco, Home Depot, and Target, could be among the winners.
