Stephen A. Smith demands Shannon Sharpe is ‘tested’ after ‘crazy’ Kansas City Chiefs take live on First Take
STEPHEN A. SMITH launched a brilliant rant and demanded Shannon Sharpe be tested after his verdict on the AFC Conference.
Sharpe was asked his thoughts on who the best team is in the AFC, and he overlooked theKansas City Chiefsand the BuffaloBills.
Both teams have nine wins to their name this season – one more than Sharpe’s pick thePittsburgh Steelers.
Sharpe laid out the reasons behind his pick including the fact the Steelers are “well coached” and “don’t beat themselves”.
But Smith hit back emphatically and branded Smith’s pick “nonsense” while exulting about the qualities of theBills, including quarter-backJosh Allen.
He said onFirst Take, “Forgive me for saying this on nationaltelevisionat the top of the 10 o’clock hour this early in the morning.

“I need security at some point to head out of town, go visitShannon Sharpeand get that brother tested.
“You’ve got to be crazy to say something like that.
“I am a Pittsburgh Steeler fan but I’ll be damned if we’re going to sit here after looking at Josh Allen performing the way he performed, particularly with that 26-yard run.
“I know he’s been throwing some interceptions over the last four games but the bottom line is this brother has been playing spectacularly throughout most of this season.
“We’ve seen theBuffalo Billsanswer the call yesterday and you’re going to come to us with a PS team that I love and I’m very proud of.
“But six field goals, you can’t get in the endzone and you’re gonna come up here and say that that team would be the favourites? Stop that nonsense.
“They’re not the best team right now.”
The Bills have impressed Smith this season, particularly in beating the Chiefs 30-21 on Sunday.
Chiefs are the favourites to win the AFC Conference but fans were leftfuming with Travis Kelceat the end of the loss to Bills.
With 1:07 left in the game,Patrick Mahomesintended a fourth-down pass to Kelce only for it to be intercepted by Bills’ Terrell Bernard.
The play cemented Kansas City’s first loss of the 2024 season.
CBS then showedKelcewalking off the field and gave a little round of applause.
The nine-time Pro Bowl tight ended finished the day with just two catches for eight yards.
It was his second-lowest receiving game this year as he barely topped his Week 2 line of one catch for five yards against theCincinnati Bengals.
Chiefs fans took issue with Kelce’s last-play gesture.
