Deion Sanders sends clear message to Dallas Cowboys after head coach links and Michael Irvin’s TV pitch to Jerry Jones
DEION Sanders has disassociated himself from his position as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.
As a player in the 1990s, Sanders, now 57, won two Super Bowls with the Cowboys.
Sanders has had a prosperous coaching career after retirement.
He agreed to a five-year, $29.5 million deal with Colorado last year.
Since then, Sanders has improved the Buffaloes’ record; they are at 8-4 this season.
In contrast, the Cowboys have had a difficult season under Mike McCarthy.

Dallas dropped to 3-7 on the season after a humiliating 34-10 loss to the Houston Texans on Monday night.
Given that McCarthy’s contract as head coach is about to expire at the end of this season, speculation over his future is still growing.
Michael Irvin, a former teammate of Sanders’ from the Cowboys, has advocated for his friend to be hired.
To date, however, Sanders has declined to be drawn.
The words “I’m happy where I am, man,” were his words. “I’ve mastered a kickstand.
“Are you familiar with what a kickstand is? That indicates that I’m sleeping. I’m doing well, content, and eager.
“I’m excited about my current position. I genuinely adore this place.”
Colorado has emerged as a contender for the Big 12 championship under Sanders’ leadership.
During his appearance on Netflix’s broadcast of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson last Friday, Irvin promoted Sanders as a potential Cowboys hire.
“Everyone loves and respects Jake Paul for what he’s done here, but everyone loves Mike Tyson,” he remarked.
“To be able to avoid taking the typical path and still get at this location. You respect him.
“I appreciate him in the same way that I respect my wonderful man Deion Sanders, who chose not to follow the typical path. Who will I speak to in Jerry’s ear later? That’s just another topic we’re discussing.”
Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys, has acknowledged that he wasn’t prepared for the team’s terrible performance this season.
Reminding everyone, “We won one game my first year,” “One. So, have we experienced difficult seasons? Indeed. Yes, I have existed. Of course we have.

We have also had other difficult years. We also didn’t expect the record for this one. And we wouldn’t have expected it given the way we’re playing at the moment.
“But, not, this isn’t — y’all have heard me tell these old stories until you’re sick — but not, you stay in this league long enough, you’ll have times like this.”
