Walmart shopper urges chain to ‘do better’ after ‘wasting 45 minutes’ before being stopped over payment method issue
After having trouble paying for groceries, a WALMART customer has taken to the retail behemoth.
The irate client thought his time was being wasted and was not impressed.
Yakir, a customer, stated in an Xpost that it wasn’t until they had been in the store for forty-five minutes that he and his spouse discovered Walmart didn’t accept Apple Pay.
After claiming to have only learned about it at the checkout, he was unable to contain his anger.
He slammed, “Do better.”
Yakir is by no means the first consumer who have voiced concerns about the fact that Walmart is one of the only stores that does not take Apple Pay.

According to Capital One Shopping, Apple Pay is accepted at about 90% of stores.
In the United States, there are about 60 million Apple Pay customers.
By 2030, the business predicts that over 75 million Americans will be using the program.
The chain’s payment mechanism choices have drawn criticism on a regular basis.
Consumers who discovered they couldn’t use their Apple Wallets have also described the severe measures they took.
In revenge, according to another customer, they abandoned their completely stocked cart.
Angry consumers have called the company’s stance absurd, with some even claiming that the brand is insane.
Top Walmart executives have attempted to clarify why retailers do not provide the tap-to-pay option.
In an interview that was shown on Strategy in April, CEO Doug McMillon talked about the problem.
McMillon would not rule out Walmart implementing Apple Pay in the future, but it doesn’t appear likely.
He stated that the discussions are still going on.
McMillon stated that he wants customers to utilize Walmart Pay, the company’s proprietary app.
Why doesn’t Walmart offer Apple Pay?
Doug McMillon, the CEO of Walmart, explained to Ben Thompson why Apple Pay isn’t available in shops.
While there has been constant discussion about utilizing Apple Pay at the business, McMillon stressed that “We would like to have the customers open our app in the store all the time.”
In addition to helping you find things in the store, the app allows you to pay for your purchases.
“That s one of the things that we would like people to use our app for,” he stated.
Because Walmart Pay is a contactless method, customers can avoid fumbling for their credit cards at the register.
The app allows users to save their credit card information.
Customers only need to scan a QR code to make purchases.
Credit, debit, and gift cards can be used by customers to purchase goods.
A paper receipt is not sent to customers who pay using Walmart Pay. They get an email version instead.
To provide customers more options, many retailers are currently implementing contactless payment systems.
Home Depot faced a lot of backlash prior to using Apple Pay.
Customers can now use Apple Pay and Google Pay to pay for their purchases at H-E-B locations.
