After a fight with cancer, veteran composer Andy Paley passed away.

He collaborated with well-known artists like Madonna and Elton John during the course of his multi-decade music career.

Variety received confirmation of his passing from his representative.

In addition to working with Jerry Lee Lewis and Brian Wilson, who co-founded The Beach Boys, Paley was a producer at Sire Records.
