RHOP star Matt Byars is dead at 37 as ‘heartbroken’ friend Melissa Gorga says ‘I wish I could have saved you’
The Real Housewives of Potomac, a popular reality show on Bravo, included TALENT manager Matthew Byars, who passed away at the age of 37.
During the third season of the Real Housewives of Potomac, actress Karen Huger introduced Byars to the audience.
Byars participated in Huger’s notorious “press conference,” in which she attempted to dispel allegations regarding her financial status, in the episode.
In a social media message, Byars’ best friend and Real Housewives of New Jersey actress Melissa Gorgorned his passing.
“Matt – Why didn’t you tell me Matt?” A distraught Gorga posted on Instagram.
“I’m devastated. You had a contagious personality. You had jokes all the time.

“I know stand-up was your dream, so you should have done it.
“My heart hurts Matt.”
“Because you didn’t tell me earlier this week,” Gorga went on.
“Thank you for giving me my very first performance of ‘ON DISPLAY’. You and I are loyal, even though I knew life was difficult.
“We are not made to like them. I’d like to have saved you. I’m grateful for the memories. Take off and make them chuckle.
In addition, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan, star of Real Housewives of Potomac, honored Byars by posting a photo of the two on a rooftop with the comment, “Rest in Peace.”
It was not immediately clear what caused Byars’ death.
‘HE’S LIKE FAMILY’
Huger revealed how she met Byars, whom she had known since he was at least eighteen, in a 2019 interview with The Daily Dash.
“Matt and I have been friends since he was around 17 or 18. “When life gets tough, I support Matt,” Huger, 61, added.
“I’m known as ‘Mama Karen’ in Potomac because I enjoy working with young kids.
“When life was trying to him, I reached out and told him to go to school, and he did, and now we work together.”
According to Huger, they were “true friends.”
“He’s like family,” the RHOP star went on to say.
“He attended the funeral for my mother. When I first met Matt, I wasn’t on this program.
“I offered him some advice when I was a mother in Potomac, and he never forgot it.

“And what makes him a true friend is that relationship continued to grow even when I got on this platform.”
