Andy Reid delays injury return of Kansas City Chiefs star with Patrick Mahomes eager for ‘Energizer bunny’ comeback
Andy Reid disclosed that he postponed the return of a Kansas City Chiefs player who had spent the majority of the season on injured reserve.
Earlier this year, the Chiefs experienced a crisis of injuries as several offensive weapons suffered injuries.
Returning by running One of the people who suffered a fibula fracture in Week 2 was 25-year-old Isiah Pacheco.
It was encouraging to see him return to the practice field the week before the game against the Buffalo Bills.
Additionally, Pacheco is scheduled to be activated this week prior to the Carolina Panthers game.
However, head coach Reid disclosed that Pacheco had the option to play sooner and that he chose to bench the 25-year-old.

“If he had his choice, he would have played three weeks ago, but sometimes things work out that way,” Reid said.
However, I am grateful for that mindset.
That is what has enabled him to reach this stage.
The quarterbackReid handled Pacheco in a way that Patrick Mahomes approved of.
However, he is eager to see the running back return to the field.
Since he wants to play and be out there as much as can, I believe we will be attempting to keep him back,” Mahomes stated.
“However, he also wants to win.
He is aware of our long-term objective.
“In order to have him for the long term, we want to get him back as soon as possible, but at the time that is best for him and his body.
“I am confident that he will be prepared at that time and will be the Energizer Bunny that everyone enjoys seeing.
Last Sunday, Kansas City lost their season opener to the Buffalo Bills, who won 30–21.

Travis Kelce only managed two eight-yard catches.
Additionally, DeAndre Hopkins, a recently signed wide receiver, collected three of his four targets for 29 yards.
