Iconic car featured in all three Austin Powers films heading to auction – it has custom paint job and punny name
The Shaguar, the famous vehicle driven by Austin Powers and featured in all three movies, is for sale.
Austin Powers was a sultry secret agent who understood how to drive in luxury, as hilariously portrayed by Mike Myers.
Fans of the comedic films now have the opportunity to own his iconic vehicle.
The actor and his sidekicks drove the customized 1967 Jaguar E-Type Series I Roadster.
Elizabeth Hurley and Heather Graham sat in the motor with him in the original automobile from the trilogy, which was featured in all three movies.
With the famous Union Jack paint job, the vehicle made its premiere in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery in 1997.

It even appeared with Mike Myers in the well-known Madonna music video, Beautiful Stranger.
A 4.2L inline 6-cylinder engine and a 4-speed manual transmission are standard on the Jaguar.
On January 18, it will be put under the hammer, according to Luxury Auto News.
The vehicle will be up for auction at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, which is close to Orlando, Florida.
“An icon of the silver screen, one that may not have defined an era or generation but certainly succeeded in poking good-humored fun at several,” stated a representative for Mecum Auctions, the company holding the sale.
All three of the popular movie series parodies that Mike Myers produced and acted in included Austin Powers’ iconic 1967 Jaguar E-Type Roadster, also known as the Shaguar.
The position was filled by a single automobile.
Austin Powers was not an exception to the rule that superspies require special transportation,” the official added.
As with the Superspy, his vehicle had to be distinctly British and iconic.
Naturally, though, it also had to be from the past, when Powers was a legend in its own right and something of a relic.
Roach and Myers discussed their plans for using a Jaguar with Ray Claridge, owner of Cinema Vehicle Services, and Josh Hancock, owner of Joshcar, but they were unsure about which Jaguar to pick, so they decided on a 1967 Jaguar E-Type Roadster.
In any case, Hancock prepared and sourced the E-Type and collaborated with the producers to make the vehicle a unique character in the movie.
With a rear decklid insignia that would spell it out, it would be called Shaguar.
How much the car will sell for is uncertain.
The sale was announced just a few days after Jaguar’s rebranding.

Fans, however, are not happy with the new logo; many have called it “nonsense.”
The rebranding and first look of the luxury car manufacturer’s new vehicle have been ridiculed by fans, who have dubbed it a “AC unit on wheels.”
