Millionaire decides to sell 174ft superyacht before stepping foot on it ‘because it’s too small & he wants a bigger one’
Despite never having set foot on the 174-foot superyacht, a millionaire has listed it for sale, claiming it was too tiny.
Tommy Allen helped build the giant yacht, which cost an incredible $30 million, but he was immediately left wanting more after seeing the completed product.
The massive yacht, according to Five Oceans Global Solutions’ founder and director of global operations, was too small for his family to live aboard.
When it became out that Tommy himself was thought to have participated in the process that determined its size, the makers were shocked by the complaint.
The Allen family was scheduled to go on a three-year ocean-bound voyage aboard the superyacht, which Allen named the Five Oceans after its owner.
However, Tommy sold the opulent cruiser a few weeks after it was completed for over 1.6 million less than the money he had originally committed in the project.

Even though the millionaire received his creation in May 2024, he has yet to set foot on it.
Its new owner is expected to receive a cutting-edge vessel that has been called a versatile, sturdy, and effective dream.
It has accommodations for up to 11 crew members and four opulent suites that can accommodate up to eight guests.
Travelers can also enjoy the 3,300-square-foot deck out on the water.
The yacht can even go as fast as 21 knots at its fastest.
When Tommy travels out to sea with his family and friends, his initial goal was to use the boat as a center for scientific research.
Earlier this year, chief builder Jan van Hogerwou called the yacht’s use a “truly exciting” idea:
“Five Oceans will be used to study life beneath our oceans’ surface,” he stated.
“With this Yacht Support platform, we are honored to be contributing to a topic and cause that are essential to Mr. Allen’s operations and a significant vision.
“Seeing her out inthe openand ready for the final stages of her build before her delivery is the start of something truly exciting.”
Tommy has chosen to make another impression in the superyacht industry by building an even larger boat, even though selling the enormous yacht left him with an even bigger hole in his pocket.
Damen Yachting, who also built the original one, has been hired by him to build a new, 23-foot-long boat.
With two and a half times the volume of Allen’s Five Oceans, the newest, ostentatious yacht should be roomy enough for the whole family.
The recommissioned boat has not yet been given a price tag, but it is anticipated to cost more than $30 million once more.
The opulent superyacht, called Feadship One, has been listed for an outrageous 142 million dollars.
Designed to resemble a floating luxury hotel in New York City, this five-star vessel is far from your typical boat thanks to its extravagant upgrades.
Early in 2025, the fortunate buyer will be able to take possession of the 248-foot vessel.
A 150 million dollar shark-themed yacht is also for sale.
The cutting-edge Feadship Concept C has a glass pool and a “flying” observation deck where crew members can strike the famous Titanic stance.
Five bedrooms, a bar, a gym, and a spa are further opulent features.
The design of another ultra-luxury megayacht is reminiscent of a military aircraft carrier.
