Popular Amazon Fire Stick app with more than 600 free channels showing movies and TV undergoes major overhaul

A well-known software that is accessible on Roku and Amazon Fire Sticks is getting a significant makeover to make it simpler to locate favorite films and television series.

Plex is one of the most popular free streaming apps today, offering over 600 channels in multiple regions for free viewing.

Along with the US and UK, other countries that have access to the app include Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Spain, Brazil, France, and Germany.

Plex offers a wide range of films and television programs, including those on reality, crime, music, sports, and children.

Many of them are divided into themes and feature consecutive episodes.

For instance, children can locate a channel that just features Mr. Bean or the quiz program Pointless.

A plethora of movie channels are also available, or you can choose some on-demand.

This contains, to mention a few, Daybreakers, Labyrinth, The Eye, and 30 Days of Night.

Additionally, there are some festive titles, such as the 1946 classic It’s a Wonderful Life and the comedy Nativity 2, as Christmas approaches.

However, a new “one seamless interface” is being added to the app.

Testing for the mobile app has begun, and it will “very soon” be available on TV screens.

Over the past two years, Plex claims that it has had to “rewrite our apps from the ground up”.

“After a great deal of testing, we discovered that this new layout not only makes it easier for current users to navigate, but it also makes Plex much more understandable to new users.

“We ve brought our core features to the forefront, saying goodbye to the days of hidden hamburger menus and making it easier to explore with one hand on your phone.”

To make it even easier to access, the Watchlist now has a dedicated location in the top menu.
