Princess Kate’s next royal engagement revealed as she returns to duty following cancer diagnosis

It was revealed last night that the Princess of Wales will participate in the state visit to Qatar next week.

On Tuesday, Kate and her husband William will accompany the visiting Amir and his wife down The Mall in a royal carriage.

Kate will not be attending the State Banquet at Buckingham Palace that evening, though, as she is gradually going back to work following her cancer diagnosis.

Three days later, the Princess will perform her fourth carol concert at Westminster Abbey.

When Kate leads a carriage parade along The Mall to Buckingham Palace for a second Guard of Honour, royal admirers will be ecstatic.

She is anticipated to join the Royal Family for lunch at the palace.

However, the princess, who declared in September that she had completed her chemotherapy, would not be present at the State Banquet later that evening at Buckingham Palace.

Given her stellar performances at Trooping the Colour in June and Remembrance Sunday earlier this month, the state visit is viewed as a significant step in Kate’s recuperation and her ability to attend important royal events.

Only a few days after her adventures during the State Visit, she will perform her fourth Together at Christmas concert at Westminster Abbey on Friday.
