Baker Mayfield sues his dad over stolen $12 million as fans spot Buccaneers star’s cryptic money celebration vs Giants

In an attempt to recoup millions of dollars in stolen funds, Baker Mayfield is suing his father.

Mayfield and his spouse allege in a lawsuit filed in Austin, Texas, that his father’s business embezzled $12 million.

According to the lawsuit, Baker and Emily Mayfield were defrauded of almost $12 million between 2018 and 2021.

Recovering “substantial assets that were improperly taken” and unpaid is the goal of the lawsuit, which was filed on November 22.

According to Mayfield’s claim, more than $12 million was moved without permission, records, or accounting.

The lawsuit claims that the defendants then freely used the funds, “including to fund acquisitions or to cover general operating expenses (such as to meet payroll obligations).”

Mayfield alleges that the defendants attempted to conceal information about the financial mismanagement after he and his spouse became aware of it.

“None of those efforts could alter the reality that Defendants took money from Plaintiffs with no plan or ability to repay it,” the complaint alleges.

Camwood Capital Management Group, LLC, Texas Contract Manufacturing Group, Inc., Unitech Tool & Machine, Inc., Apex Machining, Inc., and Lor-Van Manufacturing, Inc. are among the defendants mentioned in the case.

In January, Mayfield first consented to a release and private statement with the accused.

According to that, Camwood Capital had a debt of $11.741 million, plus interest, which was due on September 30.

Nevertheless, it is stated that the defendants have not attempted to pay back the money they owe.

The lawsuit asserts that the defendants have not reimbursed any of the money, saying, “It is now clear that Defendants had no intention of making Plaintiffs whole when they entered into the Settlement Agreement.”

“In other words, Defendants have satisfied none of their obligations and refused even to respond to Plaintiff’s outreaches about those breaches.”

After scoring a touchdown in his most recent game against the New York Giants, Mayfield seemed to execute a money celebration.

After the game, he made it clear that the celebration was actually a memorial to rival quarterback Tommy DeVito.

In the wake of Mayfield’s father’s legal troubles, fans have expressed their support for him.
