Costco confirms all 614 locations will be closed for entire day and Sam’s Club won’t be much use for shoppers

Later this week, COSTCO has announced that it would close for the day, and Sam’s Club won’t be able to assist.

The shutdown affect all 614 of Costco’s warehouses around the country, so customers will need to modify their holiday shopping plans.

Costco will be closed on Thanksgiving, which is this year on November 28.

The business giant has been closed on Thanksgiving for years so that staff members can spend time with their families and loved ones, so it’s not that unusual.

According to its website, Costco stores are closed on seven holidays, including Thanksgiving.

These include Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, and Labor Day.

TRIO OF HURDLES

Due to the Thanksgiving closure, Costco members should plan their grocery shopping and visit their local store the day before or the day after.

Naturally, Black Friday would be the following day.

For the busiest shopping day of the year, Costco has already posted its early bargains on its website.

For Black Friday, its stores would probably have different hours depending on the state.

Before going shopping, members should check the local store’s hours online or by giving them a call.

SORRY SAM’S

Additionally, frantic buyers searching for Thanksgiving holiday essentials won’t get any assistance from rival warehouse merchants like Sam’s Club.

Along with two of its largest rivals, BJ’s Wholesale Club, another well-known warehouse retailer, will also close on Thanksgiving.

There are several stores that will be closed on the holiday, including Costco, Sam’s Club, and BJ’s, but at least a few will still be accessible to customers.
