Jimmy Johnson and Tom Brady absent from Fox NFL Sunday with Michael Strahan and Terry Bradshaw on double duty
This Sunday’s NFL coverage on Fox will not feature TOM Brady or Jimmy Johnson.
Despite the network’s plans to broadcast five games over two periods, the pair will not be featured on Sunday’s Week 13 programming.
Brady and Kevin Burkhardt are members of the lead broadcast team.
Johnson, however, is a panelist on the well-liked Fox NFL Sunday pregame show.
However, the network said that the two were granted Sunday off.
When Fox airs the New York Giants versus. Dallas Cowboys game on Thursday, both of them will be present.

Johnson will join Michael Strahan and Terry Bradshaw for the pregame program at 4 p.m. ET for the Thanksgiving special.
From 4:30 p.m. ET, Brady will then be live on the call with Kevin Burkhardt from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Rob Gronkowski will take Johnson’s position on Fox NFL Sunday.
Fox alternates between the two, and Gronk was given Thanksgiving Thursday off instead.
However, Bradshaw, Strahan, and the other members of the Fox NFL Sunday panel have had to deal with double duty.
Strahan and Bradshaw will be joined by Curt Menefee, Howie Long, and Jay Glazer on Thursday and Sunday.
When Brady was informed live that he would be working Thanksgiving, he reacted hilariously.
He was informed of the news by host Menefee during Fox’s coverage in Week 12.
Menefee replied, “Hey Tom, Strahan’s first year, he learned that he actually had to work on Thanksgiving Day.”
“He believed he was off. Did they inform you of that prior to your arrival? This year, Thanksgiving Day is a work day.
“What?!” the retired quarterback remarked in jest, his face looking shocked.
What rules Brady must stick too
The following is a list of regulations that Tom Brady needs to follow…
- Not permitted to be in another team’s facility
- Not permitted to witness practice
- Not permitted to attend broadcast production meetings, either in person or virtually
- Prohibited from publicly criticizing game officials and other teams
- Subject to the league’s gambling policy
- Subject to the league’s anti-tampering policies, limiting him to “strictly social communication with members of other clubs”
“And don’t feel bad about it!” Strahan advised him. We’ll be spending Thanksgiving together if we don’t show up one year.
Over 40 million people watched the Giants vs. Cowboys game on Thanksgiving in 2022.
However, both clubs are having trouble and are coming into the game with losing records this year.

The Giants are now 2-9, and the Cowboys are 4-7.
Additionally, Fox’s middle game is anticipated to draw lower ratings because the Detroit Lions will air earlier and the Miami Dolphins vs. Green Bay Packers will air later.
