He did, however, remain on the injured reserve list for an additional week.

“If he had his choice, he would have played three weeks ago, but sometimes things work out that way,” Reid said.

Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback, approved of Reid’s treatment of Pacheco.

Since he wants to play and be out there as much as can, I believe we will be attempting to keep him back,” Mahomes stated.

“In order to have him for the long term, we want to get him back as soon as possible, but at the time that is best for him and his body.

“I am confident that he will be prepared at that time and will be the Energizer Bunny that everyone enjoys seeing.
