Molly Qerim interrupts Stephen A. Smith to correct First Take star and tells him ‘we’re not rookies here’

When Stephen A. Smith failed to notice a crucial detail on First Take, MOLLY Qerim came in to correct him.

With a few minor adjustments, the show aired on ESPN on Thanksgiving at 10 a.m. ET as usual.

Damien Woody and Kimberley A. Martin joined Qerim in the New York studio.

However, Smith didn’t notice a set change and dialed in virtually to finish the panel.

The first take started with the camera moving from the main table to a turkey feast on the set’s side.

Additionally, there was chocolate all over the desk in front of Woody, Martin, and Qerim.

“I appreciate the chocolate – but that’s dessert,” said Smith.

“The turkey, yams, stuffing, and the actual meat and potatoes come later; it doesn’t come first.

“I just want to let everybody know that, we’re not getting it twisted on this show.”

However, Qerim interrupted to inquire if Smith had seen the spread that had been captured on camera moments earlier.

Stephen A. answered, “I’m sorry, my bad, I didn’t see that.”

“Stephen A,” Qerim informed him, “we’re not rookies here, we’re not playing around.”
