Michael Strahan ‘saves life’ of Jimmy Johnson on Fox NFL set after Dallas Cowboys legend’s ‘near miss’
Following an apparent setback, Michael Strahan jumped to Jimmy Johnson’s defense.
Host Curt Menefee chuckled while Strahan was “saving lives” on Fox’s Thanksgiving NFL special.
For Thursday’s game, Johnson joined Howie Long, Terry Bradshaw, Menefee, and Strahan in the Fox studio.
The Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants NFC East game was televised by the network from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Additionally, the Thanksgiving game featured a distinct set from the typical Fox NFL Sunday crew.
The panel appeared to be in a more picturesque scene thanks to the green screen and special effects.

Behind Johnson, stacks of hay from a truck’s back started to fall out onto a screen.
Additionally, Strahan tricked his co-star by giving the impression that the objects were approaching him.
To ensure Johnson was’safe’ from the perceived danger, the legendary member of the New York Giants grabbed him.
Menefee, the host, also made a joke about Strahan “saving lives out here.”
On Sunday, Johnson and Strahan put on a fun show.
The “false hope” argument made by his colleague about the Dallas Cowboys left Strahan laughing.
Johnson stated, “The Giants have got some guys who can rush the passer, but Cooper Rush is efficient.”
When Dak Prescott was healthy again, Bradshaw chimed in to ask sarcastically if Rush should still start.
“No, I’m just saying they’re going to get on a run,” Johnson responded.
“They will triumph today, the following week, and the week after that.
“They’re going to get on a run, and they’re going to have a little bit of false hope.”
Michael Strahan’s NFL career
One of the most well-known faces on TV is Michael Strahan.
However, he had just finished an incredibly successful NFL career before entering the media.
From 1993 to 2007, Strahan was a member of the New York Giants for 14 years.
In 2007, he helped the New England Patriots win the Super Bowl, dashing their aspirations of a perfect season. He was a seven-time Pro Bowl player.
In addition to winning Defensive Player of the Year, Strahan led the NFL in sacks two times.
In 2001, the former Giants standout set a single-season sack record of 22.5, which J.J. Watt matched precisely 20 years later.
With 141.5 career sacks and 854 tackles, he is among the greatest defensive stars to have ever played the game.
Following the false hope declaration, Strahan erupted in laughter and gave Johnson a hug.
On Thanksgiving, Dallas defeated their division rivals from New York 27–20.
The Cowboys had their first victory at home in 2024.
