Hockey player Connor Kasin, 17, shared tragic final post before collapsing on ice and dying at charity game

Before passing away during a game, a high school hockey player spent priceless moments with his pals.

Before passing out on the ice on Saturday night, 17-year-old Connor Kasin of New York posted a now-heartbreaking message on Instagram.

The administrators of Massapequa High School stated that he had a “sudden medical event” at the Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center in Bethpage and passed away in the hospital.

In an attempt to save lives, courageous bystanders hurried to the ice, but it was insufficient.

Confirming the death, the Long Island school called the news “heartbreaking.”

“His passing is devastating to the Massapequa community, and we offer our deepest condolences to Connor’s family and friends,” said the administration.

The cause of Kasin’s untimely death is unknown.

The hockey player posted a now-tragic picture of his summertime fun with buddies months before he passed away.

Kasin was seen grinning alongside dozens of friends in the carousel of photos as they went to breakfast, attended parties, and visited the beach.

Condolences and prayers have poured into the comments from devastated pals.

Many posted “rest in peace,” while others expressed their thoughts for his family.

“Bro, soar high. One buddy wrote, “God bless you.”

Nassau County Congressman Anthony D’Esposito likewise expressed his grief over the news.

“My thoughts and prayers are with Connor’s family & the entire Massapequa community as they mourn this terrible loss,” he posted to X.
