‘Nothing to lose’ Biden could pardon Harris – but it’s a gift she wouldn’t want to accept, political analyst warns
According to a political analyst who spoke to The U.S. Sun, Joe Biden might pardon Kamala Harris in order to prevent Donald Trump from launching a campaign of retaliation against her.
On Sunday night, the 82-year-old outgoing president granted his son Hunter an unconditional pardon, sparing him from a possible jail term.
Hunter was scheduled for sentencing on December 12 after being found guilty of federal gun offenses.
In addition, he was sentenced for his conviction on federal taxes.
Biden has nothing to lose by forgiving his son, according to David Richards of the University of Lynchburg in Virginia.
In the upcoming weeks, it will be interesting to see who he pardons, he said.

Richards stated that although it would raise questions, Biden might pardon Kamala Harris.

Richards cautioned that there would be dangers associated with accepting a pardon.
Harris must do the math if he pardons her because if she runs again, people will ask, “What did you do that required pardoning for?” “I said.”
