Matt Rife gives ‘real’ reason for major face changes in new tell-all book after ‘frightening’ plastic surgery rumors
In his new biography, Matt Rife addresses rumors that he has had numerous plastic surgery surgeries.
After admirers found earlier pictures of the comedian with a very different appearance, the 29-year-old comedian surreptitiously underwent surgery, sparking speculations.
Matt claimed in his book Your Mom’s Gonna Love Me, which was published on December 3, that he experienced late-onset puberty at the age of 20 instead of having any covert procedures.
“Puberty, after its sweet time for more than 20 years, finally decided to hit me square in the face,” he stated.
“Over the course of several months, I stopped looking like a thirteen-year-old and started to resemble my true age. like a real, mature man.
“My face got wider, my features became more prominent, I grew a few inches taller.”

Matt said that his changing shape was partly influenced by his frequent gym visits with his comedian friend Dane Cook.
“I started every day off by lifting,” he stated. “It cleared my head.”
He claimed that his “bizarrely stunted journey through puberty” set off “a million-and-one internet conspiracies” regarding a makeover with plastic surgery.
When plastic surgeons offered their opinions on his evolving look, Matt accused them of possessing a “frightening lack of common sense.”
“Can the medical board please just issue an official certificate telling you to get a life?” he demanded.
According to him, becoming “good looking” throughout puberty actually made his work as a comedian “harder.”
“As a comic, you’re supposed to make the audience like you, right?” wrote the writer. Who the f*** enjoys handsome people, then? No one.
After Matt’s Netflix special Lucid was released in August, his followers were particularly persuaded that he had surgery.
“Hisjaw fillers are too alarming to look at,” one X user commented.
Another person remarked, “Matt Rife’s jaw is looking wild lately,”
A third person questioned, “What is up with his face?”
The U.S. Sun was informed at the time by a plastic surgery nurse that she thought Matt had done “some drastic changes” to his face.
“He could have cheek implants added and/or buccal fat removal because he has a lot of volume in his jawline,” recommended celebrity injector Tara Adashev of Einstein Plastic Surgery.
“It appears that he had surgery, so it’s not necessarily fillers.
