Biden has given Trump the green light to pardon people – but prez-elect will be more mature about it, Scaramucci insists

According to former White House Director of Communications Anthony Scaramucci, President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon his son Hunter has given Donald Trump more authority to offer clemency.

Days before his son was about to be convicted, Biden, 82, spared him a prison term.

Due to federal gun violations and tax accusations, Hunter had to attend two sentencing sessions in a matter of days.

Ahead of Trump’s inauguration, Scaramucci, who was only in office for 11 days during the first Trump administration in the summer of 2017, feels the outgoing president has established a new standard.

He noted that Biden has likely granted Trump more authority to pardon individuals on the grounds that “two wrongs make a right.”

His pardoning of the January 6 individuals was the first action you saw him take. It would be a horrible circumstance.

Trump mentioned granting clemency to the January 6 protestors shortly after Biden approved Hunter’s pardon.

“Are the J-6 Hostages, who have been in prison for years, included in Joe’s pardon of Hunter?” he wrote on Truth Social.

Trump has frequently called demonstrators imprisoned for the uprising “hostages.”

He also declared that one of his first actions as president would be to free the detainees.

Over 1,000 individuals have been charged in connection with the uprising.

Scaramucci, though, thinks Trump will mature during his second term.

Trump cannot run for reelection because he is term-tied.

Scaramucci believes Trump will not follow through on his campaign promises of retaliation.

“Trump is more emboldened, but he’s a little older and I like to think he will take a mature approach to this,” Scaramucci stated.

“Hopefully, the threats [to target his opponents] are really empty words.

“He threatened to put Hillary Clinton in jail and didn t do anything related to that.”

Although the Republicans controlled both chambers of Congress and Trump easily won the election, Scaramucci called Trump a “lame duck.”

“If Trump doesn’t do anything to corrupt the system, he’s already a lame duck,” he said.

“These politicians are already looking at Trump and saying there’s only one more consequential election on his watch.”

In addition, Scaramucci expressed doubts about Trump’s likelihood of forgiving himself.

He hinted at the possibility that any possible pardon after Trump leaves office might be challenged by the Supreme Court.
