Costco fans go crazy over return of gooey treat members call ‘greatest in existence’ but recipe shift is ‘disappointing’
This month, COSTCO has reinstated a popular item in their bread section.
Just in time for the holidays, customers are raving over its revered return to the warehouse retailer.
Some members have noticed the Gooey Cinnamon Rolls in the bakery at their local Costco, though it’s unknown how many of the store’s 600+ sites around the country already have them.
“The cinnamon rolls are back,” someone posted on Reddit, accompanied by a photo of their partially consumed delicacy.
With their thick and fluffy cream cheese frosting, the Gooey Cinnamon Rolls, which come in a six-count, nearly appear to be one enormous roll.
In addition to being the ideal quantity for smaller holiday parties, Costco advises its customers to serve the Gooey Cinnamon Rolls warm, either in the microwave or in the oven.

An aluminum tin with a transparent plastic top is included in the box.
According to TastingTable, the tin may even be reheated in a microwave or oven.
The packaging’s labels recommend heating in the microwave for 20 to 45 seconds and baking at 350 degrees for four minutes.
According to a snapshot of a price tag obtained by another shopper, members can get the Gooey Cinnamon Rolls for $12.99 throughout the holiday season while supplies last.
Customers can enroll in the Gold Star or Executive membership plans, which cost $65 and $130 annually, respectively, to become a member.
The Gooey Cinnamon Rolls were $12.99 last year as well, but Costco used to sell a 12-count package of smaller pull-apart cinnamon rolls for $6.99.

Reddit users compared the quality to larger cinnamon pastries from Cinnabon, which at certain places cost $5.49 each.
The Gooey Cinnamon Rolls’ current lifespan at Costco is unknown, but given their past seasonal appearances, they’ll probably disappear quickly.

- Primary Member Use: Only the primary cardholder can use this Costco membership card. Sharing it for purchases is not allowed as the photo on the card must match the person using it.
- Household Card: Each primary member can add one free household cardholder who lives at the same address. This person will receive their own membership card and can shop at Costco independently.
- Guest Policy: Members can bring up to two guests per visit to Costco. However, only the member can make purchases. Guests must be accompanied by the member.
- Authorized Cardholder: For an additional fee, you can add an authorized cardholder, such as a family member or friend, who doesn’t reside at your address. They will receive their own card and can shop independently.

The delicacy has “a rich, delicious pumpkin flavor with a sweet graham [cracker] crust.”
It serves a whole family and weighs about 4.88 pounds, so it’s a great Thanksgiving or even Christmas alternative if there are any left over as December goes on.
