LeBron James retirement decision hinted at by NBA legend Kendrick Perkins after LA Lakers and Bronny struggles
LeBron James may be leaving the NBA after this season.
NBA icon and former Celtics great Kendrick Perkins said as much, pointing to James’ sharp decline in offensive output.
James will turn 40 in three weeks, and many people believe he is the greatest of all time because of his remarkable 21 NBA seasons.
However, Perkins thinks James might endanger his reputation by dropping his 20-year-old son Bronny to the G League following four NBA games.
It follows James’ 25 percent shooting percentage as the Lakers lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves 109-80.
It was his sixth straight game with a shooting percentage far below 45%, the worst stretch since his 2003 rookie campaign.

And after the Lakers fell to tenth place in the Western Conference, Perkins took to X to voice his worries about James.
He stated: “It s looking like this just might be Bron s last season.”
In his last four games, he has shot 0 for 19 from three-point range.
James, who is currently in his 21st NBA season, played his 1,800th game on Monday.
However, Lakers coach JJ Redick said he will consider whether it is wise for James to participate in every game during the regular season.
“I don’t know that’s in the best interest of him and us if he does that,” Redick stated.
“But he ought to play if he’s feeling good and healthy.
“But we obviously want to manage that as best we can.”
James, however, stated that he had no interest in altering his strategy for each game.
“We’ll see, but that’s the objective. “I’m not talking about it at the moment,” James stated.
The NBA legend has achieved a life goal this year.
He played basketball on the same floor as Bronny, who was chosen by the Lakers in August with the 55th choice.
Although his father plays in the NBA, he was the first player to be drafted.
But the Lakers sent Bronny to their G League affiliate in South Bay in October, where he has failed to hit the world alight.
Meanwhile fellow rookieDalton Knecht, who was drafted 17th overall, has enjoyed a solid start to life in the NBA.

Time for LeBron to retire?
“At the end of the day, I hate to say it, but I believe this in my soul right now – I wish LeBron James would retire.
“Not because I don’t want to see more ofLeBron James, not because I don’t appreciate LeBron James.
“But I honestly believe deep down inside, the more LeBron James continues to play the game of basketball, the more it’s going to hurt his legacy and the more it’s going to continue to hurt his GOAT argument.
“As long as he steps foot on that floor, every single season, there’s gonna expectations of him winning a championship.
“And when he don’t do that, we’re gonna be looking at him saying: ‘Well what happened now?'”
