Tom Brady fires back at Eli Manning with Super Bowl reference after New York Giants icon poked fun at his boat pic

On social media, Tom Brady retaliated against Eli Manning for making fun of his most recent boat photo.

Yesterday, 47-year-old Brady posted a photo of himself on a boat, clutching a fish.

The caption for the image from the former quarterback who is now an analyst for Fox Sports read, “A little warmer than it looked in Buffalo last night.”

Brady’s shirtless Instagram photo soon garnered close to 300,000 likes.

The 43-year-old ButManning cheekily made light of the photo.

The former Giants quarterback shared a picture of himself on a boat with a much larger fish on his X account, juxtaposing Brady’s photo.

“Cute Minnow, Tom!” was the caption he wrote for his photo.

Brady swiftly retaliated against Manning by bringing up Super Bowl XLII.

He remarked on Manning’s upload, “You use a helmet to catch that one too?”

Brady’s comeback was an allusion to the 2008 Super Bowl XLII loss against Manning’s Giants, which the New England Patriots suffered 17–14.

The Patriots led 7-3 entering the fourth quarter and had a perfect record that season.

However, David Tyree’s notorious “Helmet Catch” was the catalyst for Manning’s Giants’ spectacular late-game comeback.

Using his helmet, the wide receiver somehow sprang to capture it.

The Giants scored the game-winning touchdown after this pass resulted in a 32-yard gain.

Four years later, in Super Bowl XLVI, Manning would defeat Brady once more.

‘BALANCE TO THE FORCE’

One fan commented on Manning’s social media post, “Eli Manning might exist in this dimension for the sole purpose of not giving Tom Brady too much power.” Fans praised the pair’s relationship. He gives the force equilibrium.

As another jokingly said, “Big bro to Tom forever.”

Others said, “This is content we need on X!” in appreciation of Brady’s return.

“Love the smack talk Tom,” said a second.
