The Game Awards opens its second round of Players’ Voice with gamers top 10 games of the year
People are eager to see which games will win the most coveted accolades in gaming, and the Game Awards are quickly approaching.
The Game Awards are the largest award event of the year and are regarded as the Oscars of gaming.
A jury still decides who gets each award, even though the public can vote in every category.
This is in contrast to the Players Voice award, which is solely determined by popular vote.
Twenty games have already been eliminated as we move into the second round of voting, leaving us with a top ten.
Several of the most well-liked games of the year, including nominees for Game of the Year Astro Bot and Balatro, have already been eliminated.

Additionally excluded from the voting are several well-known television shows and video games, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Fortnite, and The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom.
The whole list of Players Voice candidates is available here if you’re curious about which titles were dropped from the first round.
The top ten games are ongoing, with Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves, Zenless Zone Zero, Palworld, and Helldivers 2 accounting for half of the total.
Single-player games such as Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Black Myth: Wukong, and Stellar Blade make up the other half.
Five of the ten games in this round are up for players to vote for, and the last round of voting opens on Monday, December 9, 2024.
There will probably be five games in this round, and players can only vote for their favorite.
On Thursday, December 12, 2024, during The Game Awards, the winner will be announced.
