LA Lakers face decision over JJ Redick being fired as NBA team fall to shocking start to season
After their start to the season, the Los Angeles Lakers are already having to make a decision regarding JJ Redick’s future as head coach.
The Miami Heat crushed Los Angeles 134-93 in their most recent match.
And it came after they were thrashed by the Minnesota Timberwolves 109-80.
The Lakers are currently outside the top eight in the Western Conference with a 12-10 start to the season.
After losing in the group stages, they also gave up their NBA Cup title.

However, Los Angeles has defended the title in a lackluster manner and is having trouble gaining traction as December approaches.
Gilbert Arenas, a former NBA player, already believes that Redick should be let go.
The 40-year-old Redick was only hired head coach this year following his stint as an analyst for ESPN.
Between 2006 and 2021, he participated in the league.
After the Miami defeat, however, Arenas stated, “Put it like this: JJ would’ve got fired last night if it was up to me.”
Arenas, 42, played in the league for 11 years, from 2001 to 2012, and was named a three-time All-Star.

In contrast, James stated that all of the Lakers’ players “have to take accountability.”
They have lost six of their previous eight games, including the one against Miami.
“When you’re f***ing up on your own and you’re trying to rely on everyone else to cover for you,” James added.
“I believe that it begins with the individual. We must all accept responsibility.
This month marks James’ 40th birthday, and he is now experiencing one of his worst statistical runs since 2004.
How the NBA Cup works
This year marked the return of the NBA Cup for a second season, with Las Vegas hosting the finals once more.
From November 12 to December 3, the 30 teams were divided into six groups of five teams each, and games were played on Tuesdays and Fridays.
On December 10 and 11, the top two wild cards and the six group winners move on to the quarterfinals.
Additionally, the last four will go to Las Vegas for the December 14 semifinals and December 17 final.
With the exception of the title game, every game counts toward the team’s regular-season record.
This week, he participated in his 1,800th game in his career.
In his 21st NBA season, the legend hopes to participate in every one of the 82 regular-season games.
However, Redick stated, “I’m not sure whether that’s what’s best for him and us if he does that.
