World’s most expensive neighbourhood worth £1.5BILLION with ultra lux villas unveiled where every METRE costs £80,000

With an eye-watering 1.5 billion, a JAW-DROPPING new neighborhood has gained the title of most expensive in the world.

It is located in the most famous playground for the wealthy, with ultra-luxurious villas costing more than $200 million each and apartments that cost up to $80,000 per square meter.

This six-hectare eco-district, called Mareterra (a play on the Italian words “sea” and “land”), is setting new standards for upscale living in Monaco.

It is billed as a “celebration of Mediterranean spirit” and was formally revealed by Prince Albert II on Wednesday.

Mareterra, which was constructed on reclaimed ground, adds 3% to the state’s land area and continues its tradition of erecting buildings into the sea to house the rich.

World-renowned architects Norman Foster, Tadao Ando, and Renzo Piano created the development’s ten opulent villas and more than 100 opulent flats.

Mareterra’s real estate values are higher than those of the most upscale cities in the world, with villas costing hundreds of millions and apartments exceeding 8 million for modest proportions.

In contrast, the most costly properties in Paris cost an average of 13,000 per square meter, which is a small portion of Mareterra’s astounding prices.

Mareterra serves a worldwide elite attracted by its tax-free status, low crime rates, and exclusivity. It is situated in a microstate where seven out of ten citizens are millionaires.

In the small principality, where demand for upscale real estate greatly outpaces supply, space is at a premium.

According to development consortium administrator Guy Thomas Levy-Soussan, these innovations are driven by the lack of available land.

The neighborhood, which is primarily pedestrian-only and powered by renewable energy, has 1,000 imported trees, solar panels, and subterranean parking to ease traffic on the surface.

Relocating 500 square meters of protected seagrass and creating artificial fish habitats were other marine conservation initiatives.

This 1.5 billion dollar building is the height of luxury, with homes so exclusive that only the most affluent can afford to live there.

It comes as a private island with a golf course of its own has recently been listed for a staggering 62.5 million dollars.

Fiji’s Lau group of islands in the South Pacific Ocean includes Kaibu Island.

The buyer would receive an 800-acre resort, three villas, an airplane, an airstrip, and even a golf course for the astronomical price.

Additionally, it is now for sale “in time for Christmas” by Vladi Private Islands.

This island is being touted as this season’s Ultimate Package, yet the desert island estate agent sells and rents out hundreds of them.

The island is surrounded by immaculate white sand beaches and is covered in lush green vegetation.
