Paul Mescal fans stunned as Gladiator II star shows off surprising new talent as he hosts Saturday Night Live
While presenting Saturday Night Live, Paul Mescal astonished viewers by showcasing an unexpected talent.
In a comedy about his most recent film, Gladiator II, the 28-year-old actor joked that, given the popularity of Moana 2 and Wicked, his film might do better if it were a musical.
And Paul’s amazing voice on Saturday Night Live demonstrated that he’s a man full of surprises.
Paul sung as he dressed as Lucius, his character from the movie: “They look at me and all they see is a killing machine, but they don’t know that far below I’m so much more than I seem.”
His voice prompted fans to post comments on social media, with one user writing: “Paul Mescal singing I’m about to lose my mind.”

With a song titled “No Place Like Home,” SNL’s Kenan Thompson opened the comedy, which included multiple subtle jabs against Wicked.

It follows Gladiator director Sir Ridley Scott’s confirmation of the franchise’s future.
Sir Ridley, 86, claimed to have authored 12 pages of the following draft for Gladiator’s II, which was released 24 years after the first movie.
The British director, who is renowned for films like Blade Runner and Alien, has always loved to sketch and doodle and meticulously storyboards his productions.
When asked if he had begun drawing the third movie’s scenes, he replied in the affirmative!
