Tourist, 52, dies during massage in red light district in Phuket after being left ‘wheezing & gasping’ in 45-min session

After being left wheezing and gasping for air on the table during a massage in a red light area, a tourist passed away.

Before he was left struggling for his life on Saturday, Lee Mun Tuck, 52, was having fun on Phuket, Thailand, a notoriously sleazy tourist destination.

While operating as a laundromat, the filthy establishment in Thailand’s red light district was unlawfully providing massages to foreigners.

According to reports, Lee passed out near the end of the 45-minute session.

Witnesses in a panic at the parlor made frantic attempts to rouse Lee, but he refused to respond.

Officers received the report at 11:05 p.m., and it is thought that the tourist passed away before arriving at Patong Hospital.

When police arrived, they discovered his lifeless body on the table, covered only by a blanket.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Chanan Mekchai stated: “The store lacked the necessary paperwork to offer massage services.

“As part of the inquiry, the owner has been called in.

“The wife asserted that her husband’s health had a role in his passing.

According to her, he drinks excessively, never works out, and never gets enough sleep.

“He was a regular at the shop and was said to have drunk beer before getting a massage.”

PoliceLieutenant Colonel Chanan went on: “We are still looking into the cause of his death, but the widow is not disputing it.

She is asking for his remains to be returned to Singapore for a religious ceremony, but she has refused to have him have a post-mortem examination.

“The store lacked the necessary paperwork to offer massage services. The probe has included a summons to the owner.

There have been instances of negative effects, including fatalities, during or after Thai massage sessions, despite the unregulated profession’s broad perception of safety.

The massage’s movements have the potential to increase heart rates and cause cardiovascular problems.

If the masseur is not trained, there is also a chance of spinal injury or muscular strains.

A day following Lee’s passing, Thai singer Chanida Phraohom passed away in Udon Thani province after reportedly having her neck forcefully wrenched during multiple Thai massage sessions.

Before she died on Sunday, she reportedly suffered from bruises, swelling, numbness, and weakness in her limbs for a few weeks.

Vicente Fernandez, a 67-year-old Spanish man, also passed away in April 2019 after reportedly experiencing convulsions while receiving an oil massage in Pattaya, Thailand.
