The most frequent technological blunders have been identified, such as sending an inappropriate message or inadvertently shooting a selfie.

Putting a video FaceTime call to your ear and accidentally contacting the wrong person and having to converse with them were the two most common gaffes, according to a study of 2,000 adults who use smartphones.

However, 19% of people have had their online accounts locked after attempting to log in but failing to remember their login credentials.

Boomers were most likely to experience such failures, with 31% of respondents thinking they are no longer tech-savvy, according to the study that Giffgaff commissioned.

The network provider’s spokeswoman stated: Spending the holiday season with loved ones is more important than worrying about a mobile mishap.

56 percent of people take the time to proofread their messages before sending them in order to avoid making such mistakes.

However, 11% use airplane mode and 15% just turn off their phones to avoid transmitting something they might later regret.

Giffgaff partnered with content artist Abby MacDonald, who gained popularity on TikTok after her boyfriend unintentionally bought a phony iPhone with the wrong emojis, because everyone may have mobile failures.
