Eve and her lover, Tony Priest, who was the lead vocalist of the psychedelic rock group Onyx (later Vineyard), moved in together in 1972.
Eve began living a luxurious life and working as a PlayboyClub Bunney in Park Lane just a year later.
She became known as Eva Von Bock and Bunny Ava and became friends with numerous celebrities, such as Sid James and Eric Morecambe.
She was featured on the cover of Mayfair magazine in March 1975 as their girl of the month.
Eva lost her job because of her involvement with a competitor publication.
But the magazine became a huge hit, and the police later came to the conclusion that it might have encouraged her killer to target her.
The killer strikes
Eve’s spouse discovered her dead in their apartment on March 18, 1975.
Some of the detectives at the site said that it was one of the most violent and terrible crime scenes they had ever seen, and evidence recovered on her body indicated that she had been sexually raped.
There wereno evidence of forced entryto the residence however.
Eve had visited her agency in Camden the day before she passed away, and then she went to a promotions consultant in Bayswater.
Eve was last spotted by a neighbour walking towards her flat.
Shortly before she passed away, another neighbor overheard her conversing with a man.
Police suspect Eve’s killer struck again that year, but he was never apprehended.
Another horrifying murder
On September 3, 1975, Lynne Weedon, a sixteen-year-old schoolgirl, was killed in West London.
At first, the authorities did not see a connection between the cases because Eve had been slain in Leyton, East London.
It is thought that Lynne was attacked when she took a shortcut into an alley on her way home.
She tragically died in the hospital after being found alive by the custodian of a nearby school.
The killer is thought to have been a white man who was in the vicinity when the attack occurred.
Lynne’s case was renewed in 2004.
Three years later, DNA evidence showed that the same individual had killed both Eve and Lynne.
