(Fox 2) West Bloomfield, Mich. The City of Farmington Hills declared in February that it will proceed with its plans to redevelop the area that housed Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum.

Fans of the pinball and arcade have been left wondering what would happen to the spectacle of a hangout in the months that have passed.

The owners declared on December 9 that they will be moving to a new facility in West Bloomfield and closing the current one on January 5. The new site will be on the northeast corner of Orchard Lake Road, inside the Orchard Mall.

The space is substantially larger and there’s a new location. The new museum is roughly 14,000 square feet in size, compared to the current museum’s 5,300 square feet.

The company posted on Facebook, “This will give us the opportunity to have a couple private party rooms for birthday parties and spread things out.”
