(FOX 2) FERNDALE, Mich.A week later, a new restaurant is already getting set to replace it.
Syndicate Ferndale, located across the street from Scout, is owned by Dana Taucher, who intends to use the site for a second restaurant.
In a post announcing the new endeavor, Taucher stated, “Although I can’t give away too much about what’s coming to 177 Vester, I can assure you that our new location will offer an approachable menu and bar designed to fill the space that’s been missing in our city.” “It will be a place where everyone feels welcome a place to create new memories and connections, to enjoy great food, beverages and more!”

The Emory, a downtown Ferndale restaurant on Woodward Avenue, has announced that it would close at the end of the year.
After M-Brew, a hotspot known for pizza and pinball, closed in early 2020, the building where the new restaurant was located remained vacant for years. Scout occupied the location for the summer before closing last week due to poor sales.
According to Taucher, the intention is to open by early spring, although that may alter based on how well the area is prepared.
“As with any new venture, there are challenges ahead, especially with renovations for a space that needs some extra love,” she stated.
