World Cups CONFIRMED with 2030 tournament spanning three continents and 2034 part of £2.5TRILLION Saudi project

With the announcement of the next two World Cup hosts, FIFA has officially verified the worst-kept secret in sports.

The 211 member country associations held a virtual congress, and Zurich chiefs declared that Spain, Portugal, and Morocco would host the majority of the 2030 tournament.

However, the first three matches of the 2030 tournament will all take place in South America—in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay—to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the inaugural World Cup, which was played in Uruguay in 1930.

In a unanimous vote that was widely praised, the FIFA membership also decided that Saudi Arabia would host the 2034 competition as part of the Gulf state’s $3.2 trillion (2.5 trillion) megaproject.

Fourteen months ago, Fifa President Gianni Infantino struck a deal with South American leaders to make room for the Saudis, which led to the signing of both host decisions.

A formal examination of the two bids has since been conducted by FIFA, and both, predictably, passed with flying colors.

However, Infantino made sure that countries could not bring up human rights concerns in Saudi Arabia without voting against BOTHbids, so there was no opportunity for criticism.

Both the Norwegian and Danish FAs expressed their dissatisfaction with the system, even though the FA obediently followed FIFA’s lead since Wembley officials were considering a 2029 Women’s World Cup bid and did not want to jeopardize its chances of success.

Instead of voting in favor, Norwegian FA President Lise Klaveness made it apparent that she will abstain.

Although it expressed satisfaction for the ruling, Denmark said it expects FIFA to uphold calls for equitable access to World Cup matches, freedom of expression, and human rights.

The Swiss FA’s backing coincided with a request that Fifa set up independent organizations to ensure transparency and human rights in the Gulf state.

With Morocco proposing six locations and Portugal proposing Lisbon and Porto, Spain has proposed 11 stadiums spread across nine cities.

One of the Moroccan sites would be the world’s largest football stadium, the record-breaking Hassan II Stadium in Casablanca, which is expected to be constructed by 2028 and has an incredible 115,000-seat capacity.

The Nou Camp, Barcelona’s refurbished home, and Real Madrid’s renovated Santiago Bernabeuor are both eager to host the final, but the spectacular new stadium might not even get to host it.

According to the Saudi bid, there will be 15 venues spread across five cities—Riyadh, Jeddah, Abha, Khobar, and Neom—all of which are still under development and won’t be finished until five years after the World Cup.

Artificial canyons, crystal-like shards, and a 45,000-seat stadium set into a cliff are all features of the numerous stadium ideas.

The most audacious, however, will be Neom Stadium, which will be part of the insane 110-mile-long The Line sideways skyscraper and have a pitch 350 meters above the ground.

The opening game and final, however, will be held at the King Salman Stadium, which has a 92,000-seat capacity and is expected to be the most impressive location of all.

The cutting-edge arena will have 300 VIP seats, 120 hospitality suites, a royal box, VVIP spaces, and a shopping center.

It will very certainly be a winter tournament, as in Qatar in 2022, further upsetting the customary European club season. However, it is more likely to happen in January 2024 as opposed to the November–December timeframe of the inaugural Arab World Cup.

The top leagues in Europe, who would have to skip seven weeks of club football, will surely object to that. Richard Masters, the CEO of Premier League, is probably one of those opposing the unwelcome schedule.

The January 2034 timetable would assist in avoiding the end-of-year Islamic holy month of Ramadan in November and December.
