Real-life Mowgli girl speaks out 10 years after she was found living with her loyal dog in bear-infested Siberian forest

Ten years after being saved from a two-week ordeal in a bear-infested Siberian wilderness, a girl has spoken up.

After becoming lost in the isolated Russian woods and managing to survive on a diet of wild berries, four-year-old Karina Chikitova was discovered clinging to her pet Naida for warmth.

On Russian official television, she has now recounted her miraculous experience, asserting that she has no memory of the terrifying experience.

In an interview on Let Them Speak, 14-year-old Karina stated: “This is my dog, Naida.” She was in the forest with me, but I can’t recall how we played together or how she came to my rescue.

According to Artyom Borisov, who saved her, she was sitting in the deep grass in total silence.

In reality, I didn’t notice her. She threw her arms out as she spotted me.

She was so small, so light, like fluff, as I took her up.

“She was not wearing shoes. She was bitten to death by mosquitoes on her arms, legs, and face.

She was terrified. She immediately started crying and sought for food and water.

“Why did you leave me?” was the first thing Karina said to her devoted dog when they were reunited.

The child’s life was most likely saved by the dog’s behavior of returning to the family’s hamlet, which gave rescuers hope that she was still alive.

Karina’s ethnic group is the native Siberian Evenks.

When the baby followed her father into the perilous woodland in 2014, he was unaware that she had followed him.

Before leaving her to seek assistance, her dog sat by her side for nine nights.

Three years after being rescued at the age of seven, the teen’s first recollection was discovered.

It has been proposed that Karina has lost consciousness of what would have been an extremely distressing event.

The presenter has gone so far as to refer to the survivor as a “star” and has called her a real-life Mowgli girl.

Shortly after her discovery at the world’s coldest city, Yakutsk, a provincial capital, a memorial was erected in her honor.

However, Karina mentioned in the interview that she dislikes the attention her experience brings.

The audience gave Karina a roaring round of applause when she disclosed that she now hopes to become a doctor.
