Donald Trump named Time Person of the Year AGAIN after historic election win and surviving two assassination bids
Only a few weeks after sweeping to victory in the presidential election, Donald Trump was named the 2024 Time Person of the Year.
With this victory, the tycoon has been recognized for the second time.
In the race that included Tesla tycoon Elon Musk, Princess Catherine of Wales, and Kamala Harris, Trump emerged victorious.
Time editor Sam Jacobs made the announcement exclusively on the Today show.
The president-elect will ring the opening bell at the stock market while in New York City.
Trump’s most recent electoral triumph occurred in 2016, the year he was named Person of the Year.

Following a turbulent 2024 election campaign, he won.
He survived two assassination attempts months after being found guilty in May of manipulating company records.
At a July rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Trump’s ear was scraped.
He was playing golf in Florida in September when gunshots were heard, and he was escorted to safety.
Then, in the November presidential election, Trump defeated Harris handily, capturing the popular vote as well as the Electoral College.
Trump became the first Republican presidential candidate to win the national popular vote in 20 years.
A person who has had a positive or negative impact on the world is chosen to receive the Person of the Year honor.
The prize has been shared by Trump and 13 other presidents.
In 2020, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden were awarded the honor.
Former winners, politicians, and activists were also on this year’s shortlist.
When the list was revealed on Monday, there were ten contenders in all, but it was later reduced to five.
The last five people on the shortlist were Benjamin Netanyahu.
For alleged crimes against humanity, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu in November.
Despite being on the list, podcaster Joe Rogan was not selected.
