Stanley recalls 2.6 million mugs over burn hazard as Walmart & Target shoppers urged to stop using product
Due to a safety concern, Stanley is recalling 2.6 million of its stainless steel cups.
After customers reported burn incidences, the order was issued.
Trigger Action and Switchback mugs from Stanley are the impacted products.
Because the lid thread was beginning to shrink in certain cases, US officials initiated the recall.
As a result, the lid became loose, which could have been dangerous while in use.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, there have been 91 instances of mug lids coming off thus far across the world.
