PC gamers can grab massive Lord of the Rings game giving off Christmas vibes for free

With so many chances to grab a freebie, PC gamers can’t complain about getting fantastic free games.

Just in time for the holidays, the Epic Games Store is giving away a massive Lord of the Rings game this week.

Until December 19, 2024, at 4 p.m. UK time/11 a.m. ET, Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria will be available for free on the Epic Games Store.

The underground dwarven metropolis that we are familiar with from the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit books and movies is the setting for the survival crafting game Return to Moria.

You must return Moria and the dwarven kingdom of Khazad-d m to their former splendor while playing as a bunch of dwarves.

The 2024 Winter Update for the game was just released, and it includes bug patches and the ability to customize the appearance of your character’s armor by applying cosmetic skins.

The game is ideal for playing over the holiday season because it is set in one of the dwarf lands of Tolkien’s Middle-earth, which naturally gives it a cozy Christmas feel.

Up to eight friends can cooperate to survive and prosper in Moria because it’s a multiplayer game.

The freeHoliday Yule-tide Pack, which contains festive food, decorations, and in-game lighting, was also included in Return to Moria’s most recent update just in time for the holidays.

The game will be available for free for one week for PC players, after which it will be yours to keep once it is in your library.

Since Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria often retails for $20.99 or $24.99, getting the game for free is a great deal.

Return to Moria requires an Epic Games Store account, which may be created for free.

The game is also available through the Epic Games launcher program, which you must download to your computer in order to play.
