Brit tourist, 37, found dead after Full Moon Party in Thailand where he downed cheap shots & got ride home with stranger

After going to a Full Moon Party in Thailand, a British traveler passed away.

Before attempting to find his way home from the boisterous beach gathering on the island of Koh Phangan, the 37-year-old apparently took several cheap shots.

It is believed that he went to a cash machine to take out cash to reimburse a local who provided him with transportation back to his hotel.

However, the vacationer was discovered dead next to an open plastic water bottle on the stairs of a 7-Eleven store just after 6:30 a.m. on Monday.

“Officers are looking through CCTV to determine who took the tourist back and why they left,” stated Lieutenant Colonel Arun of the Thai Police.

After attending the Full Moon Party, the deceased had returned.

“At Hat Rin Beach, where the party was held, witnesses who said they saw him intoxicated are currently being questioned by officers.

“He was said to have been visibly exhausted before he died.”

The traveler, according to Arun, had no money, so he requested a local to drive him back to his hotel and offered to pull out cash to cover the cost.

He stated: “It’s possible that he partied until the morning and passed out from sleep deprivation.”

Since there were no indications of an assault, we think he may have overdosed or been intoxicated.

“His blood test results are still pending, but we have already informed the British Embassy of his passing.”

In order to question the man who provided him with a ride, police are currently searching for him.

On the island of Koh Phangan, the Thai Full Moon celebration is a beach celebration that lasts all night.

Thousands of backpackers typically attend the party, which is held on the night of every full moon.
