An unsettling video of Patrick Mahomes’ injury during practice has drawn attention from NFL fans.
The three-time MVP of the Super Bowl had a slight high ankle sprain in Week 15 while the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Cleveland Browns.
Mahomes unexpectedly showed up for practice on Tuesday, which boded well for his prospects of starting on Saturday against the Houston Texans.

Following the practice, head coach Andy Reid gave a status report on Mahomes.

The 13-1 Chiefs will start backup Carson Wentz if Mahomes is unable to play this week.
Wentz, who replaced Mahomes last weekend, made both of his completions.
This week, Kansas City will have a lot on the line as they aim to earn the top seed, which comes with home-field advantage and a first-round playoff bye.
