Metro Detroit weather: Light snow today before a bigger chance for more later in the week
Although it won’t be much, some light snow is predicted for today. But there will be more later this week. Alan Longstreet knows what’s coming up.
DETROIT (FOX 2):The first snowfall of the two upcoming rounds is expected today.
Although there may be some mixed precipitation during this morning’s commute, the totals will be quite low—less than half an inch. No significant road problems are anticipated because the temperature is above freezing. Although it appears to be dry Thursday, there will be more snowfall on Friday.
With snow showers continuing into the afternoon, our late-week system brings precipitation from Thursday night until Friday morning. With 1-2″ of rain predicted throughout the region, it will have an impact even though it is not a major storm.
Temperatures will drop during the weekend behind the snow, with highs remaining in the 20s. As Christmas week approaches, the cold starts to subside.
