Suspect flips SUV after fleeing Macomb sheriff deputy

After one resident reported a disturbance, a sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a neighborly quarrel in Harrison Township. The guy ran and then flipped his car as the officer got close to him. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office provided the video.

(FOX 2):A suspect escaped from Harrison Township police early on Wednesday morning, leading to a single-vehicle crash in Macomb County that is thought to have been caused by alcohol.

The moment the deputy discovered the car, upside down in a yard with smoke coming from the engine, was captured on dashcam footage from the deputy’s patrol car.

Officers had received a complaint at around three in the morning before the collision regarding a quarrel between neighbors, in which one house claimed the other was making noise.

The person had outstanding criminal warrants and had previously dealt with the police.

He was operating a GMC Yukon on Harrison Township’s Joy Boulevard when they caught sight of him. He ran away when police tried to stop him, then momentarily lost control and fell into a ditch.

He was able to recover control and go back on the road before heading the other way. Before they found the Yukon upside down, police lost sight of him.

Due to his injuries, the fire crew transferred him to a nearby hospital.

The inquiry is still under progress.
