Fox News legend Neil Cavuto to exit network after 28 years leaving viewers devastated
After 28 years, Neil Cavuto, one of Fox News’s longest-serving anchors, is departing the network.
The 68-year-old, who has presented Your World since its debut in 1996, made the sudden announcement of his departure on Thursday morning.
On Fox Business Network, Cavuto has also hosted Cavuto: Coast to Coast.
Fox News has stated that Thursday, December 19, will be his last day of broadcasting.
Although The Hill stated that Cavuto and the network had not been able to come to an agreement on a new contract, no formal explanation has been provided for the departure.
“Neil Cavuto s illustrious career has been a master class in journalism and we re extremely proud of his incredible 28-year run with Fox News Media,” the network stated in a statement.
“His shows have shaped corporate news and established industry standards.
“We wish him a heartfelt farewell and all the best on his next chapter.”
