NFL make major change to team jerseys starting in Week 16 which will affect Kansas City Chiefs
In Week 16, when the Kansas City Chiefs play, the NFL will make a significant modification to their team uniforms.
This modification will also occur in Week 17 and impact three additional clubs.
Four clubs will wear a unique “holiday-inspired uniform patch” for Weeks 16 and 17, according to a new memo that the NFL sent, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported last week.
On Saturday and Christmas Day, the Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, and Houston Texans will all don the patch.
Due to their participation in the NFL Holiday Remix, the four teams only play on those two days.
Two candy canes will create a “X” behind the NFL shield logo on the tiny patch.

The Chiefs visit the Texans at 1:00 pm Eastern on NBC and Peacock, followed by the Steelers play the division-rival Ravens at 4:30 pm Eastern on Fox, to kick off Saturday’s NFL Holiday Remix.
On Christmas Day, the second half of the NFL Holiday Remix will air exclusively on Netflix.
Russell Wilson and the Steelers will play Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, and at 4:30 p.m. Eastern, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens will play the Texans.
Fans expressed their approval of the new jersey alteration after the Texans’ X account uploaded a photo of the patch they will wear during the two games.
“This rules,” someone said.
“Love it,” someone else commented.
“This goes hard,” three more said.
A fourth person commented, “The uniform looks nice in that picture,”
The two games will be star-studded events, as singer Mariah Carey will deliver a taped performance of her all-time hit holiday song All I Want For Christmas Is You during the game opening performance.
Beyonce will also play songs from her most recent album, Cowboy Carter, during the Houston halftime game.
When it comes to applying unique patches to their uniforms, the NFL has experience.
This year, all teams that performed on Thanksgiving had a special John Madden patch to remember the late coach and iconic broadcaster.
